Ramgarh, March 16: A tractor hit a bike late Tuesday night in the Sirka area of Ramgarh police station. The person riding the bike, identified as Bhairav Mahto, was seriously injured in the accident. He has been admitted to a private hospital for treatment.

According to the information, the tractor was going from Sirka to Argadda.

The tractor driver parked the vehicle on the side of the road and fled from the spot. After this, the angry villagers set the standing tractor on fire. They also blocked the road.

Police reached the spot hours after the incident. On seeing the police car, the angry villagers started pelting stones and broke the rear glass of the PCR van.

The villagers also misbehaved with the police personnel. A large number of police forces were called to control the mob. The jawans reached the spot and chased the villagers by resorting to lathi-charge.
