Interestingly, this will be the first visit of Marcelo Ebrard Casaubón to India in his capacity as Foreign Minister. He will also visit to Mumbai.
The Mexican Foreign Minister’s visit comes after Jaishankar’s visit to Mexico City in September of last year. This exchange of visits will help to cement and enhance India’s and Mexico’s special relationship.
Notably, Mexico is India’s second-largest economic partner in Latin America, and it is a member of the United Nations Security Council alongside India for the years 2021-22.
