Dhanbad, Oct 10: The photo of Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachhan in place of an examinee on the admit card has created a flutter in the Binod Bihari Mahto Koylanchal University (BBMKU) Dhanbad.
A girl named Kajal Kumari in PG Semester-2 of the economics department received an admit card with the photo of Aishwarya Rai. The examination is scheduled to begin tomorrow (October 11).
The student was surprised to find the actress’ picture and signature on her admit card when she downloaded it on Sunday evening. Barring the photo, all details of Kajal Kumari are correct.
Notably, the examination forms were filled up online due to vacation and the university issued admit cards online due to this. The examinee fears that the wrong photo on the admit card may debar her from the examination. However, the university authorities today said that the technical error would be corrected so that the student does not suffer.
BBMKU examination controller SK Baranwal told the media persons today that uploading of photos and signatures on the admit card is not done by the university. It is a conspiracy to malign the image of the university.
He further said, “After verification at our end, it was found that the form was filled up by the candidate. On basis of proof, accordingly, the admit card is generated. However, we will find the culprit, if any, and will take appropriate action.”
