Ranchi: Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi has once again launched a sharp attack on the state government, accusing it of plotting to seize tribal lands under the guise of hospital construction at RIMS-2. He alleged that the Hemant Soren-led administration is conspiring to grab raiyati land from tribal communities in the name of development.

Call to Defend Land, Water, and Forests

Marandi declared that the time has come to teach a lesson to those repeatedly trying to loot the tribal community’s jal, jungle, and zameen. He emphasized that the state government’s intentions are harmful to indigenous rights and warned of a larger political resistance.

Allegation of Fake Encounter in Surya Hansda Case

Commenting on the Surya Hansda case, Marandi accused the police of custodial murder, claiming that Hansda was tortured with third-degree methods and electric shocks before being killed. He further alleged that the body was disposed of to make it appear as an encounter. Marandi reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment to continue fighting for justice and people’s rights in the state.
