Jamshedpur, Dec 4: The Jamshedpur unit of United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) today declared to join the two day bank strike on December 16 and 17 opposing the Centre’s move of privatisation of banks and Banking Laws (Amendment) Bill -2015.
A functionary of Jamshedpur chapter of UFBU said they already met Dhalbhum SDO Sandeep Meena informing the later about the dharna and protest to be carried out outside different bank branches during the two day strike.
Tomorrow UFBU members will undertake a dharna at Sakchi Golchhakar between 11am and 4 pm.
On December 7 they will carry out a demonstration at Mango while on December 8 another demonstration will be organised at the Bistupur Postal Park.
Convenor of UFBU’s local chapter Rintu Rajak said on December 9 they will conduct black badge protest.
“We will carry out a series of dharna and demonstrations in different places before the two day strike, ” said Rajak.
