Hazaribag, May.4: Resident of Khutra Beritand village in Ichak block, Priti Kumari’s marriage was finalised with Sagar Kumar of Banhe village in Katkamdag. But as var mala took place, the boyfriend of Priti climbed the stage and put vermilion on her forehead. All of a sudden the incident made the groom’s side to charge at Priti’s family for cheating which resulted in a clash between the two sides.
Sources said after the barat arrived at the place of the wedding on the night of May 2, both sides greeted each other. Soon var mala took place with everyone enjoying the moment. Priti’s father Budhan Ram said Priti and Sagar were feeding sweets to each other. All of a sudden one Sunny Kumar reached there with his three friends. He reached close to Priti and applied vermilion on her forehead.
This created chaos and soon war of words started between the families of bride and groom. It soon resulted in a clash. Local people gathered there and caught Sunny. Even rural representatives also reached out and asked Sunny why he did this. Sunny admitted to having an affair with Priti after which all agreed to marry him with the girl. The baratis left and Sunny was married to Priti.
Budhan said no police complaint was made from either side as everything took place peacefully later.
