New Delhi, Dec 1: Ashok Malhotra, Jatin Paranjape, and Sulakshana Naik make up the three-person committee, which was announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday. Madan Lal and Rudra Pratap Singh have been replaced in the newly appointed CAC, however Naik has kept her position.

Malhotra, who most recently served as the President of the Indian Cricketers’ Association, has represented India in 20 One-Day Internationals and 7 Test matches. In the meantime, Paranjape was a member of the Senior Men’s Selection Committee and has participated in 4 ODIs for India.
In his 11-year career, Naik has participated in two Tests, 46 ODIs, and 31 T20Is for India.
The BCCI constitution states that the CAC appoints the selection committee; but, because Madan Lal turned 70 in October of last year, the advisory committee has been operating without its leader.
RP Singh resigned from the committee after his term ended in order to work as the talent scout for Mumbai Indians, an IPL team.
The senior selection committee’s appointment process will now be started by the newly-appointed CAC members after the five-member panel led by Chetan Sharma was relieved of its duties in November. Numerous former cricket players from India have reportedly applied for the selection committee panel from the four zones.
