Dhanbad, Aug 20: A Bokaro youth identified as Babloo has been stranded in Kabul ( Afghanistan) for the last five days to return to India.
Babloo has been hiding in a private room near Kabul airport since August 16 along with three other persons of Uttar Pradesh. He had a return plane ticket on August 16 but due to a stampede-like situation at Kabul airport, he could not be able to board the flight.
Babloo is a resident of Goda Nala Basti in Sunday Bazar under Gandhi Nagar police station of Bermo block of Bokaro district. He had gone to Afghanistan three months ago for a job.
Family members of Babloo have Tweeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren for his evacuation from Kabul and his safe return.
Babloo’s wife Lakho Devi and elder brother Lalbabu told media persons on Friday that he ( Babloo) had been working in a private company in Kabul since June 2021. Having seen the invasion of Taliban warriors to Kabul, he decided to return to India and bought the ticket.
His family members said in a WhatsApp message Babloo has informed that gun tottering members of the Taliban are guarding them round the clock and do not allow them to move out of the building.
“ Babloo and three other Uttar Pradesh residents are trying their best to contact officials of the Indian embassy in Kabul but do not get any response till Friday. So, finally, we have Tweeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren for help so that Babloo could be evacuated safely from Kabul,” Lalbabu in Bermo to media persons.
