Dhanbad, Dec 12: The Congress State Disciplinary Committee will take action against leaders for making statements against the party and office-bearers in the media.

State Disciplinary Committee Chairman Brajendra Prasad Singh while serving a warning said that some Congress leaders in different districts are repeatedly making statements against the party, and senior office-bearers through social media, electronic and print media. That is indiscipline, anti-party activities and an attempt to malign the face of the party.

“Statement against the party as well as top leaders in public is a violation of the party constitution and comes under indiscipline. Party would not tolerate such indiscipline in the organization at any cost and would take action against such persons either they are general workers or senior leaders,” said Brajendra Prasad Singh in his warning.

State Disciplinary Committee chairman said that if any worker or leader has any grievances, he can lodge complaints on a proper party forum and put up his opinion there. But directly stating on social media, newspapers and electronic channels against parties and leaders compels the committee to take action.

“The committee has been forced to issue such warning as it is being seen that some leaders in different districts are renting their grievance against the party publicly in newspapers. The Disciplinary Committee would soon send notice to district committees across the state in this regard,” he said.

Expansion of the State Congress Committee has triggered sharp resentment from rank and file in Jharkhand, especially overlooking the former president of Jharkhand Congress Committee Dr Ajay Kumar, Sudhanshu Shekhar Jha of Dhanbad, Ashok Choudhary, Jayshankar Pathak, Manzoor Ansari of Hazaribag, Ravindra Jha of Jamshedpur like another senior leader.

Several leaders across the state have openly expressed their resentment on social media, newspapers and electronic channels against the decision of high command forcing the state Disciplinary Committee to serve a warning.

Sudhanshu Shekhar Jha, a senior Congress leader of Dhanbad, has alleged that the high command has violated the Jaipur Chintan Shivir’s resolution which says ‘one man-one post’ as in jumbo committee-double responsibilities have been given to some leaders.
