Ranchi, March 9: The matter related to the delay in the constitution of Urdu Academy, Waqf Board and Madarsa Board in Jharkhand was today raised in the assembly.
Congress party legislator Sarfaraz Ahmed expressed his concern over the matter saying the delay is against the expectation of minorities from the government in the state.
“Minorities have a lot of expectations from this government,” Ahmed said, sharing his concern over the delay. He said that the matter is important as degrees of Urdu education were not recognized by the state government.
On which, the concerned minister Hafizul Hassan assured the constitution of the Madarsa board within three months. He said correspondence with the school education and literacy department was done on March 3, 2022.
The minister said the constitution of Urdu Academy and Waqf Board is also under the consideration of the state government.
As Ahmed raised the issue, independent legislator Saryu Roy also supported him and asked the government to give a certain timeframe to get the work done.
