Deoghar, Dec 16: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Friday said that negligence by government officials towards various government schemes will not be tolerated and strict actions will be taken against them.
“The government has started many ambitious schemes. It is our topmost priority that these schemes come to the ground. The figures you have given regarding these schemes is very encouraging, but in reality, the same enthusiasm is not being seen among the people regarding these schemes. Such negligence will not be tolerated. Officers should take their responsibilities seriously,” said CM.
The CM advice to the officers during the review of the progress of the ongoing development works in Deoghar and Godda districts in Deoghar Parishad today.
The Chief Minister told the officers that the government has given them full autonomy to work, but it does not mean that they should be negligent in the execution of the works.
“In the information which I have received, I do not see your seriousness towards the schemes of the government’s dream project. This negligence and laxity will not be tolerated. If you do not fulfil your responsibilities properly then the government will be forced to take action against you,” The CM warned.
The Chief Minister said that the objective of the government’s schemes is to strengthen the rural economy and to make the villagers stand on their own feet so that their standard of living can be improved.
“Complete the work allotted to you with full responsibility. No laxity will be tolerated in the implementation of the schemes. If needed, the development works will be reviewed at the block and panchayat levels as well,” the CM added.
He said that a large population of the state lives in villages. Agriculture and animal husbandry are the pillars of the rural economy. It is not only the main means of livelihood of the villagers, but also an integral part of their traditional system. For this purpose, the government is running many schemes related to agriculture and animal husbandry.
The Chief Minister told that weavers and workers met him during the tour of Godda and Deoghar. He told that the products made by them are being sold in branded shops, but they are not getting proper profit from them. In such a situation, it becomes the duty of the officers to make sure that they get their due rights.
The CM added that the attitude of banks towards KCC is not good. He asked them to correct it or appropriate action will be taken by the government against the banks which do not work in the interest of the farmers.
The Chief Minister informed that on completion of three years of the government on December 29, the beneficiaries of Savitri Bai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana, Mukhyamantri Pashudhan Yojana, Mukhyamantri Drukhar Rahat Yojana will have to make the amount available in their accounts through DBT. He directed all the officials that the work of verification of the applications received regarding these schemes should be completed under any circumstances.
