Exemplary life saving act by lady RPF constable at Tatanagar station

Jamshedpur, Oct 30: It was indeed a brave act by a woman RPF constable.

On Saturday, October 28, a  lady constable S.R. Kumari of RPF post Tatanagar was on train-passing duty at platform number 3.

At about 1.30 pm, 15929 Tambaram-Tinsukia Express arrived Tatanagar and at 1.36 pm the train started on its onward journey.

Suddenly, one passenger while trying to board the running train slipped and was about to fall in the gap between the train and platform.

On seeing this, the lady staff, S. R. Kumari acted immediately and pulled him out and saved his life.

The passenger thanked the lady RPF personnel for saving his life.

Railway authorities of Chakradharpur division said that Kumari will receive an award and appreciation letter from the South Eastern Railway  headquarter for her bravery,  promptness and dedication towards her work while on duty.
