New Delhi, March 15: Prime Minister Narendra Modi proclaimed forcefully at the BJP’s parliamentary party gathering on Tuesday that “family politics” will not be tolerated in the party.

“Family politics won’t be allowed in the party. Dynastic politics in other parties has to be fought. So if anyone’s kin was denied a ticket, I take responsibility,” he said.

He also said that because of him the children of several MPs were denied tickets in the recently finished assembly elections.

Meanwhile, PM Modi and BJP President J P Nadda were both felicitated for victories in four states at the BJP parliamentary party meeting today.

The BJP won four out of five states in the recently ended assembly elections, including politically critical Uttar Pradesh. PM Modi, speaking at the gathering, urged the party’s MPs to fight dynasty politics, which he described as “destructive to democracy.”

PM Modi also appreciated the recently-released film ‘The Kashmir Files’ and said that such movies should be made more often in the country.
