Ramgarh, July 12: The Federation of Hazaribagh Chamber of Commerce and Industries issued a statement demanding to stop the crime and deteriorating law and order situation in the district.

Members of the federation said,” After the murder of businessman Suchit Dev, there is an atmosphere of anger and fear among small and big businessmen. The police administration should crack down on this murder and arrest the criminals. Along with this, security should be provided to the businessmen across the district.”

Chamber President Shambhunath Agrawal and Secretary Rakesh Thakur said that there is an increase in criminal incidents in the district.

Sujit Dev, a businessman of Guru Gobind Singh Road in the city, was murdered on the night of July 7 and the criminals fled away. The place of occurrence is just 500 yards away from Sadar police station.

So far, the police have neither caught the culprits nor cracked the incident. Due to this incident, there is an atmosphere of anger and fear among all the businessmen of the district.

The federation members further said that the district administration always claims to maintain law and order but things are happening right under its nose.

The chamber demands that the criminals be arrested by cracking down on the incident. Rs 25 lakh as compensation should be given to the relatives of the deceased businessman. Arrangements should also be made to stop such incidents so that businessmen and their families can feel safe. The safety of life and property of businessmen should be ensured by the administration.
