MANOJ SINHA
Ramgarh, Dec.6: Hazaribagh MP cum Chairman Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance, Jayant Sinha, met Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and had a discussion on various railway subjects related to the parliamentary constituency. The Railway Minister has taken cognizance of all these subjects and assured him of necessary cooperation.
Sinha told the Railway Minister that according to the thinking of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Indian Railways is not only a medium to connect distances but also an important medium to connect the culture, tourism and pilgrimage of the country. The people of Hazaribagh were earlier dependent only on road travel, but now they are able to use the rail service a lot.
He drew the attention of the Railway Minister to following subjects.
- Ranchi-Delhi Rajdhani Express (12453/12454) used to travel on Thursday and Sunday via Barkakana Junction. At present, its route has been changed via Lohardaga-Tori. This train was the fastest way to travel from Hazaribagh to Delhi by rail. Thousands of passengers are facing inconvenience due to the closure of its operations. There is a need for its operation from Barkakana Junction also.
- In order to connect Hazaribagh Lok Sabha with direct long-distance trains, in the year 2019, approval was given to a coach maintenance depot at Hazaribagh Town railway station at a cost of Rs.28 crores. It is necessary to start running trains from Hazaribagh to Patna, Delhi and Kolkata. This will also boost employment including industry and tourism. If we get it constructed soon and take necessary steps after taking cognizance of the operation of long distance trains, then the residents of the area will always be grateful.
- From the point of view of security, there is a need for the construction of Road Over Bridges and Road Underpass Bridges at various places in the area.
- Hazaribagh Lok Sabha has several railway sidings for coal transportation. The problem of air pollution is increasing due to non-covering of most of the vehicles in coal operations and is threatening the health of the people of the area. It is very unfortunate that many places falling in the way of transport have become the den of anti-social elements and criminal incidents are also taking place here. Apart from this, the condition of the roads connected with railway siding is also poor, due to which there is a possibility of accidents. Therefore, for the welfare of the people of the area, there is a need to take some concrete steps on these subjects at the earliest.
- Construction of Ranchi-Barkakana rail route is in progress. With its completion, not only will the journey from Ranchi to Barkakana be completed in 1 hour, but the distance of 60 km to Patna will also be reduced. Lakhs of people will be benefited by this public welfare scheme. If this construction work can be completed soon, then the public will benefit immensely.
