Hologram of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose to beam at India Gate: PM Modi

New Delhi, Jan 21: On Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s 125th birthday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will unveil a hologram statue of him at the India Gate.

Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was born on January 23, 1897.

“Till the grand statue of Netaji Bose is completed, a hologram statue of his would be present at the same place. I will unveil the hologram statue on 23rd January, Netaji’s birth anniversary,” he tweeted.

“At a time when the entire nation is marking the 125th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, I am glad to share that his grand statue, made of granite, will be installed at India Gate. This would be a symbol of India’s indebtedness to him,” he wrote in another tweet.

Earlier this year, BJP leader Chandra Bose penned an open letter to Prime Minister Modi requesting that Netaji’s statue be placed in front of India Gate in Delhi. He also requested that Netaji’s image be printed on currency notes and that January 23 be declared a national holiday.
