New Delhi, Nov 18: The Under-19 Cricket World Cup will be held in the West Indies next year. The West Indies will host the 14th edition of the ICC Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup for the first time ever. Total 48 matches will be played in this tournament from January 14 to February 5 across four host countries. sixteen teams will be participating in the tournament.
The 48-match schedule will begin with hosts West Indies taking on Australia, with Sri Lanka facing Scotland in Guyana on January 14.

India will start their campaign against South Africa on January 15. India has been placed in Group B. Apart from South Africa, there are teams from Ireland and Uganda in this group.
New Zealand will not participate in the Under-19 World Cup this time, as they will have to follow the rules of mandatory quarantine after their return, with the Scotland team going to play in their place. Scotland are in Group D along with Australia, Sri Lanka and West Indies.
Interestingly, India has won the title four times in the Under-19 World Cup, while Australia has won the title three times, Pakistan twice and England, South Africa, Bangladesh and West Indies once each.
