Jamshedpur, Feb 27: IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre issued a forecast of a two to three-degree Celsius rise in most parts of Jharkhand during the next 72 hours.
Mainly clear sky and dry weather would prevail in the state this week.
According to Met department officials, the Western Disturbance is a trough in the middle and upper tropospheric level lying with its axis at 5.8 Km above mean sea level.
No significant synoptic condition prevails over Jharkhand. Weathermen said at surface level, light easterly to south-easterly wind was prevailing over the state.
Met statistics revealed that the maximum temperature hovered between 31 and 34 degree Celsius in most places
The minimum reading (night temperature) also witnessed a rising trend and was hovering between 11 and 15 degree Celsius in several places.
Head of Ranchi Met Centre Abhishek Anand said that the winter is in its retreating phase and that the state would witness the complete withdrawal of the winter season later this week.
