New Delhi, Aug 12: A group from the Indian Air Force departed for Malaysia to take part in the ‘Udarashakti’ bilateral exercise on Friday. This is the Indian Air Force and Royal Malaysian Air Force’s first bilateral training exercise (RMAF).
Su-30 MKI and C-17 aircraft from the Indian Air Force are taking part in the air exercise, while Su-30 MKM aircraft from the RMAF will be used. The Indian contingent flew directly to their destination, the RMAF base in Kuantan, from one of its air bases.
During the exercise, IAF contingent members will have the chance to discuss mutual combat capabilities and exchange best practises with some of the greatest RMAF personnel.
Various aerial combat manoeuvres between the two Air Forces will be conducted over the course of the exercise’s four days. Ex Udarashakti will strengthen the long-standing partnership between the two Air Forces and expand their defence cooperation opportunities, increasing regional security.
