Jamshedpur, Aug 24: The ISRO team that made the mission Chandrayaan-3 a success includes a youth from the steel city of Jamshedpur, leading the residents to feel proud.

The young man who chipped in making the ambitious mission a great success is Ashish Kumar Sharma, son of Kanhaiya Sharma.

A resident of Bara Flats in Agrico and an employee of Tata Cement which has its plant in Jojobera locality, Kanhaiya could not go to attend his duty today as he had to respond to the congratulatory calls made by his near and dear from last night.

“Though my son had been nurturing a dream to serve the nation by doing something big becoming a scientist, I had never thought of being so proud of him. Ashish has given me a moment of great pleasure,” said Kanhaiya while talking to lagatar24.com.

The Tata Cement company employee said his son was in the team that made the mission Chandrayaan-3 a success.

Kanhaiya said Ashish had joined the ISRO after completing his B.Tech in Computer Science from NIT, Jamshedpur in the year 2016.

“Ashish had talked to me from Bangalore last night after celebrating the landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the moon’s surface successfully, ” he stated.

Kanhaiya quoted Ashish as saying that the same team of scientists is working on another mission, greater than the Chandrayaan-3, but did not elaborate given the protocol of the ISRO.
