JCECEB invites applications for admission in vacant seats for MBBS, BDS and BHMS courses

Ranchi, Feb 8: The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Exam Board (JCECEB) has invited online applications from the candidates who have qualified NEET UG 2021 to appear in the second interview.

These will be students that were not included in the final state merit list prepared earlier and will apply for the remaining vacant seats after the first interview in MBBS, BDS and BHMS courses. In support of their claims for educational, residential, reservation, disability conditions, uploading certificates issued by the competent authority will be mandatory.

JCECEB officials on Tuesday said, ‘Candidates selected from the first interview and enrolled in several medical institutions can appear in the said interview for re-allotment of their institute and course. Although, the candidates included in the final state merit list issued by the Board on January 29 for the first interview, will not be required to fill the online application form again.’

‘The candidates/concerned parents/concerned institutions are hereby informed that the second online interview will be conducted as per the following schedule,’ stated officials.

New candidates may submit online application forms from February 8 to February 10, whereas the provisional state merit list for the second round will be published on February 12. Objections on the state merit list, in case of any discrepancy in a candidate’s merit rank will be allowed till 5 pm on February 13. The applicant must inform the Board for correction with supporting documents on the Board’s email id – controller.jceceb@gmail.com. The final merit list for the second round will be published on February 15, after corrections.

Online registration and choosing desired seats for seat allotment will begin from February 16 and end on February 19. Provisional seat allotment letters will then be issued between February 21 and February 24. Meanwhile, document verification and admission in the concerned institute will also be allowed between February 21 and 24.

“The choices are to be filled by the candidate according to their preference by following the guidelines given by clicking on the link ‘Click here for all online counseling – JCECEB 2021’ available on the Board’s website. There will be no restriction on the number of choices to be filled,” officials added.

However, the candidates have to pay the application/registration and interview fee through a payment gateway by credit card/debit card/net banking/UPI will be non refundable.

As per information released by the Board, the application fee for General/EWS/BC I/BC II will be Rs.500 whereas the counseling fee will be Rs.1000. For SC/ST/Female candidates of all categories, the application fee will be Rs.250 while the counseling fee will be Rs.500. Meanwhile, any kind of application fee has not been set for differently abled candidates of other categories, but the counseling fee for these candidates will be Rs.500.
