Ranchi: The Jharkhand Legislative Assembly descended into chaos as soon as proceedings resumed at 12 noon on Monday, with Minister Irfan Ansari pointing at BJP MLAs and shouting slogans of “Chanda Chor, Chanda Chor” in an apparent reference to the Ram Temple donation theft controversy. Amid the uproar, BJP MLA Babulal Marandi attempted to address the house.

Both Sides Rush to the Well

As the commotion intensified, MLAs from both the ruling alliance and the opposition rushed to the well of the house. Ministers Deepika Pandey Singh, Irfan Ansari, Shilpi Neha Tirkey, Yogendra Mahato, and other ruling alliance MLAs entered the well, while opposition MLAs also came forward and began raising slogans.

Report Passed Amid the Din

Amid the chaos, Finance Minister Radha Krishna Kishore tabled a report in the house which was passed. The assembly proceedings were then adjourned until 2 pm.
