Ranchi, Dec.16: The BJP today questioned the sensitivity of the Hemant Soren government for the poor and women. It also accused Congress of being in pretension mode.
This was reflected from two statements from the state headquarters of the party. One was issued by BJP state president Deepak Prakash while another was issued by BJP state vice president Gangotri Kujur.
In the statement issued by BJP state president Deepak Prakash, the Soren government has been branded insensitive for its delay in providing blankets and making arrangements for bonfires for the poor.
“While the state government is expected to arrange blankets and bonfires for the poor before the advent of winter, it has not been done so far though the mercury dipped to 6 degree Celsius. This exposes the insensitivity of the government for poor,” state president and Rajya Sabha member Prakash alleged, asking the government to do the needful soon.
Prakash in his statement also alleged Congress for being in pretending mode.
“In public, the party expresses its concern over the non-inclusion of Hindi, Angika, Bhojpuri, and Maithili in the list of local languages while silently taking advantage of being the ally of the ruling party. The party is playing a game of hide and seek,” Prakash said.
Gangotri Kujur issued a statement expressing her concern about the insensitivity of the state government for the security of women.
Kujur issued the statement after meeting a victim of gang rape with a minor in Mandar.
“Morale of rapists and murderers is high in Hemant Soren rule. This is the reason broad daylight murders are committed and women are raped,” she said.
