Ranchi, May 22: A woman from Jharkhand’s Chatra district gave birth to five babies simultaneously at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences in the state capital.
New born babies are premature and underweight (1 kg). They are under the medical supervision of the doctors.
“They are born in 26-27 weeks only. In such a situation, it cannot be told about their condition. The children are being taken care of properly. Condition of the mother of these children is fine. We are trying to make all the children healthy,” a doctor in neonatal ward said.
A month back, a woman gave birth to four children at one go in RIMS. All her children had recovered, after which they were taken home.
