Ranchi, July 6: A big tragedy struck the family of Chief Secretary of Jharkhand government Sukhdeo Singh as his 18-years old daughter passed away early morning in Delhi.

According to preliminary information, she suffered a massive headache and succumbed during the treatment. However, it is not clear whether she was suffering from any ailment.

Last year, she was tested for the Covid-19 pandemic and remained hospitalized in Ranchi for a couple of weeks. She was said to be pursuing graduation from Amity University in Delhi. A couple of days back Sukhdeo Singh rushed to Delhi hence Arun Kumar Singh was given additional charge of the chief secretary.

Her premature demise has left the bureaucratic circle and his well-wishers shocked.

“She was the youngest among two children of Sukhdeo Singh. He loved his daughter very much and she was very humble and intelligent. The loss of a loved one is life’s most stressful event which destiny has forced him to face,” said a senior IPS.

Jharkhand Chirf Minister Hemant Soren expressed his grief over the news.

He took to Twitter and said, ” Shocked to hear the sad news of the sudden demise of the daughter of the Chief Secretary of the State Shri Sukhdev Singh ji. May God give peace to the departed soul and give strength to the bereaved family to bear the difficult time of grief. The entire state stands with Shri Sukhdev ji and his family in this hour of grief.”
