Ranchi, Aug 15: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Monday hoisted the national flag at Morabadi ground and said that the state government is committed to build the state as per the dreams of its freedom fighters and the brave leaders of the state.
“The state government has committed itself to fulfill the dreams of our brave leaders and the freedom fighters and build Jharkhand accordingly,” Soren said after inspecting the parade and hoisting the tricolor. He gave President’s medals to the police personnel for their distinguished service.
Soren said that the government is continuously striving to strengthen the state with the mantra of development and democracy. The state has gone up many notches in terms of innovation and cleanliness, he said. The state has announced 75 per cent reservation for local youths in jobs with salaries up to Rs 40,000 per month in private companies.
Highlighting the measures being taken by the government, the Chief Minister said that the state is always ready to help the labourers. In case of emergency, the state has reached out to them, to help them and bring them back home whether from outside the state or outside the country. He said that the state gives Rs 1 lakh as compensation to the family of those labourers who are killed in an accident.
Soren said that the old pension scheme will soon be implemented in the state and all vacant positions in all departments will be filled up. Notification for recruitment of 2,716 teachers in universities have been sent, he said. CM Sarthi Yojana will be started from November 15 to provide free training for various competitive examinations and incentive allowance will be given to youths, he added.
The Chief Minister said that the state is coming up with Guruji Student Credit Card Yojana to help students in prestigious institutions in the state with financial support. The state will run a campaign in the next six months to fill the 37,000 vacant positions of teachers and laboratory assistants in the schools, he said. He asked the youths to use their creative and positive energy to rebuild the state.
Soren said that the state has laid the foundation for establishing a World Trade Centre to promote international trade and facilitate all related processes under one roof. The state industries department has signed an MoU with SIDBI for providing loans and other facilities to state entrepreneurs. He further said that the state has notified a new tourism policy and is committed to transform the state as a leading tourist destination.
He said that the government has taken many steps to promote sports in the state. New sports policy has been made and for the first time sports officers have been recruited in the state. He praised the girls of the state for making India and Jharkhand proud by winning medals for the country in Commonwealth Games 2022.
Soren said that the state government is running a farm loan waiver scheme to support the small and marginal farmers since 2020. Till date, Rs 1,529 crore has been transferred to loan accounts of 3,83,102 farmers. He said that the state is keeping an eye on the rainfall situation and its impact on agriculture. The state has requested the Centre for a special package, he said, adding that a provision of Rs 100 crore is being made for the farmers.
