Daltonganj, Feb 27: The Palamu superintendent of police (SP) Chandan Kumar Sinha on Sunday adopted seven Tuberculosis (TB) patients and donated food baskets containing pulse, gram, peanuts, jaggery, mustard oil and sattu at a simple distribution function under PM TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
Notably, All seven are from the very lower income group.
The Palamu SP said, “I am happy to adopt these seven TB patients. I wish more and more capable people should come forward to adopt them. They need food supplements.”
These seven would be getting food baskets each in the coming five months on the same date of the month.
However, the SP said he was first given a list of five TB patients. It was found that one of the five had died long ago but it was shown that he was alive.
He said he has taken up this issue with the government doctor in Ramgarh on how a dead TB patient is shown alive in a health document of the government.
He said the doctor has assured him to look into this goof-up very seriously.
