Shopian, Oct 10: In an encounter with security personnel on Tuesday in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian district, two terrorists associated with the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) outfit were killed, police stated.
They were identified as Morifat Maqbool and Jazim Farooq alias Abrar by Kashmir Zone Police officers.
“Killed #terrorists have been identified as Morifat Maqbool & Jazim Farooq @ Abrar of #terror outfit LeT. #Terrorist Abrar was involved in killing of Kashmiri Pandit late Sanjay Sharma,” ADGP Kashmir said in a post on X.

Police said that during the early hours of Tuesday, an encounter between security personnel and terrorists occurred in the Alshipora area of Shopian.
The encounter began when security forces initiated an anti-terrorism mission in response to a tip provided by the police regarding the presence of terrorists in the vicinity, officials stated.
