JPSC begins process of issuing revised results

Number of selected candidates set to increase in the revised results

Ranchi, Feb 13: The candidates selected under the reserved quota for SC/ST and EWS may decrease upon the release of the revised results of the seventh, eighth, ninth, and 10th civil services preliminary examination conducted by JPSC. Meanwhile, the BC I, BC II, and unreserved quota may see an increased number of candidates. The total number of successful candidates will increase up to about 811. Hence, the total number of PT-qualified candidates for the main examination will be 4883.

According to an estimate, on the basis of the previous result, 111 candidates of the SC category, 145 candidates of the ST category, and 151 candidates of EWS may be removed. At the same time, 154 candidates of BC I, 108 candidates of BC II, and about 782 candidates in the unreserved category may increase.

After getting the green signal from the court, the commission will release the revised result of PT as well. There is also a possibility of a huge difference in the cut-off marks in the revised result. The cut-off marks in the revised result will be 248 instead of 260 for the unreserved category.

Meanwhile, the cut-off marks for SC are 242 instead of 238, the cut-off marks of ST are 232 instead of 230, the cut-off marks of EWS is 246 instead of 238, the cut-off marks of BC I is 248 instead of 252 and the cut-off marks of BC II is 252 instead of 248 maybe.
