Hazaribag, Dec.9: A 100-bed fabricated hospital and a pharmacist college will soon be set up in Hazaribag by the Jharkhand State Building Construction Corporation Limited (JSBCCL) where the budget to build the hospital is Rs 8 crore and for the college, it is Rs 16 crore.
According to sources, the land near the new district collectorate was finalised for the hospital whereas the college was to be constructed in the Churchu block.
They added that ready-to-use fibre and steel structures will be used for the construction of the hospital instead of bricks. The hospital will get ready in two months on one acre of land.
Moreover, the hospital will be air-conditioned and fully equipped to deal with any kind of situation.
The officials said that the fabricated hospital concept became popular during the covid outbreak in 2020. In many countries, such hospitals were built to deal with cases of covid.
They added such hospitals will come up in six different districts – Hazaribag, Koderma, Ramgarh, Jamshedpur, Jamtara and Lohardaga.
Regarding the pharmacist college, local boys and girls will not have to go anywhere else as it will open the door for them to do the courses of a pharmacist, ANM and GNM. The college was to be constructed earlier in Padma but the land issues shifted it to Churchu.
The executive engineer of JSBCCL in Hazaribag, Mukesh Kumar said both projects will upgrade the health facilities of the district.
“We will ensure that quality work takes place in the construction of duo buildings,” he added.
At present, Sadar hospital in Hazaribag has been upgraded to Sheikh Bhikhari medical college and Hospital. Also, a new medical college was inaugurated a few years ago.
