Ranchi, Dec.9: The Jharkhand High Court today imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 on the State government for giving wrong information in a case involving appointment to class IV posts in the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL).

A division bench headed by Chief Justice Dr. Ravi Ranjan, orally said that time has been wasted by the government in this matter, hence the fine is imposed.

During the last hearing, it was said on behalf of the state government that a requisition has been sent to the JSSC for appointment to class IV posts in the FSL, but today during the hearing it was told by the state government that appointment to class IV posts in FSL is not done through JSSC.

The court had expressed strong displeasure.

The matter related to appointment of staff in the FSL arose during hearing a case involving death of a judge in Dhanbad when the CBI shared its problem in getting some forensic examination done in the state FSL.
