Khelo India Youth Games: 50 hockey players shortlisted from Jharkhand

Ranchi, Nov 29: A total of 50 hockey players from Jharkhand have been selected for the Khelo India Youth Games to be organised by Hockey India in Bhubaneswar from December 20 to 30.

The selection trial was held at the Astroturf Hockey Stadium located at Bariatu Girls High School, Ranchi where more than 300 players from Jharkhand’s Simdega, Ranchi, Gumla, Khunti, Hazaribagh, Chaibasa, including Eklavya, Tata, Sai etc participated. 

After taking part in their trial for six hours continuously, A total of 50 players have been selected from the boys and girls categories (25 each). A special training camp will be organised and out of the 25, the best 18 will be selected to play with the Jharkhand team in the national competition in Bhubaneswar.
