Daltonganj, April 10: The Deputy Commissioner of Latehar Abu Imran was most warmly offered saffron fabric as an honour in the Ram Navmi festival, who was there in Balumath on Sunday to attend the Ram Navmi celebration. He vice president of the Latehar Zila Parishad Rajinder Pd Sahu offered him the saffron fabric.
It was a small gesture but carried huge meaning as Balumath gets hot on any issue where a line gets drawn between the two communities.
“Ramn Navmi festival was observed in all peace and public tranquility. The two communities presented a high sense of responsibility for each other,”
Circle officer of Balumath Anchal Aftab Alam said.
Balumath in Latehar district holds the same delicate position that Hazaribag held in the state in the days of Ram Navmi. Sources said here things erupt abruptly causing immense amounts of pressure and tension in the corridors of power and administration.
The Latehar district administration here played a novel card. It was effective communication with both the communities. civil and police officials kept talking to both the communities and the two communities also responded well.
