Jamshedpur, Sept 14: IMD’s Ranchi Met Centre issued a forecast of light to moderate rain over Jharkhand today.
Satellite pictures today suggested that the depression has moved towards Madhya Pradesh and hence its impact waned over Jharkhand.
The monsoon trough at mean sea level was today passing through Jaisalmer, Kota, Guna Pendra Road, Jamshedpur and Digha.
Met data suggested that light to moderate rain occurred at most places while heavy rain was reported from isolated areas over the state during the last 24 hours.
The Met centre predicted no large change in maximum temperature during the next two days thereafter gradual rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the subsequent three days over the state.
The shower sop during the last two days resulted in a drop in the rain deficit figure which as of today stood at 23 per cent.
Against a normal of 906 mm of rain, the state has so far received 699 mm of rain.
