Kolkata: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has rejected exit poll predictions suggesting a tight contest with the BJP, asserting that the Trinamool Congress will form a “government of Maa, Maati, Manush” with a clear majority.

Mamata Projects Strong Win for TMC
Reacting to poll forecasts, Mamata Banerjee expressed confidence that her party will secure over 226 seats, surpassing its previous tally. She emphasized that the people of Bengal have once again backed her government, despite projections indicating a close fight.

Exit Polls Indicate Close Contest
Most exit polls have suggested a neck-and-neck battle between the TMC and BJP, with some surveys giving a slight edge to the BJP. The poll of polls indicates both parties could secure around 145 seats each in the 294-member assembly, pointing to a highly competitive election outcome.

BJP Also Confident of Historic Win
On the other hand, BJP leaders have expressed strong confidence in forming the government in West Bengal for the first time. Party leaders credited grassroots efforts and central leadership, claiming the BJP is poised for a major breakthrough in the state.

High Voter Turnout Adds Significance
The elections witnessed a record voter turnout of over 90% across two phases held on April 23 and April 29, covering all 294 seats. The high participation has added to the suspense surrounding the final results.
