Palamu: Online classes begin at govt engineering college in Lesliganj

Daltonganj, Jan 4: Online teaching in the government engineering college at Basoura under Lesliganj in Palamu has started, said its acting principal Dr Sanjay Kumar Singh on Wednesday. Almost all 195  students are online connected out of which 80 per cent of them are availing of online teaching.

Moreover, the acting principal added that unit tests with objective questions are also being conducted.

The Secretary of higher education Rahul Kumar Purwar informed lagatar24.com about the infrastructural issues of the college and said, “I understand the furniture issue is to be over very soon. Things are in the advanced stage for it.”

Sources said the director of BIT Sindri is handling the purchase of the furniture for the engineering college.

Secretary Purwar said the issue related to electricity has been almost overcome. He agreed that the first year or first session of any higher educational institution has a motley of issues which are dealt with or handled with patience and care.

Expressing hope Purwar said they are striving hard to make the engineering college a model one in times to come.
