Daltonganj, Feb 11: A patient Prince Kumar having thigh bone fracture, who nearly a week ago had caused a stir in the Medinirai Medical College Hospital (MMCH) in Daltonganj, has been finally and successfully operated upon by the orthopaedic surgeon Palamu Dr Vijay Kumar Singh and his team today.

He was the patient who was lured into a private clinic from the OPD of MMCH where he was made to pay first Rs. 15,000 for a total cost of his treatment expenditure worth Rs. 28,000.

The patient’s attendant tweeted to DC Palamu Shashi Ranjan mentioning how his patient has been wrongfully lured into a private clinic where Rs.15,000 were extracted as the first instalment in the name of Rs.28,000 worth treatment package of thigh bone fracture.

The DC had told lagatar24.com then that the said clinic was sealed and the government doctor who ran this clinic was warned to mend ways before harsher actions come to him.

The patient was taken down to MMCH from the clinic again.

The orthopaedic surgeon Palamu Dr Vijay Kumar Singh said, “We monitored this patient 24×7 following his comeback from the said clinic and waited for his swelling to subside.”

“Today our anaesthetist Dr Aditya gave him spinal anaesthesia and we conducted the operation of his right thigh bone fracture. The operation lasted for around 90 minutes and the patient is fine,” added surgeon Singh.
