New Delhi, Oct 23: The President of India Droupadi Murmu will visit Ulihatu in Khunti on November 15 on the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda. She will pay tribute to Lord Birsa Munda and address the gathering.
Notably, Ulihatu is the birthplace of Lord Birsa Munda and President Murmu had earlier visited Ulihatu while she was the governor of Jharkhand.
Moreover, Droupadi Murmu will be the first President to visit Khunti. The state of Jharkhand was formed 22 years ago on November 15 which is also the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda.
The centre also declared this day as Tribal Day last year. The administration has started preparations for the arrival of the President. DC Shashi Ranjan and SP Aman Kumar reached Ulihatu on Saturday and took stock of the preparations.
