Jamshedpur, Jan 30: IMD’s Ranchi Meteorological Centre issued a rain alert in Jharkhand in the first week of February. The Met office forecasts indicated generally cloudy sky with possibility of rain at isolated places on February 3, Thursday.

While the Met centre issued forecasts of rain at many places across Jharkhand on January 4, Friday.

Head of Ranchi Met Centre Abhishek Anand said the rain will be due to the impact of a western disturbance passing through northern India and formation of an associated cyclonic circulation.

He said the impact of the western disturbance is expected to remain till February 5.

The Met office forecasts indicate dry weather and clear sky in Jharkhand till February 2, Wednesday.

The forecast indicates no significant change in minimum readings in the next 48 hours after the minimum reading is expected to witness a rise by two to three degree Celsius due to formation of clouds caused by the impact of the western disturbance.
