Ramgarh, Aug 21: Bodies of a CCL worker and his wife were found in the courtyard of their CCL allotted quarter on Sunday morning in the Chip House Panchayat located on the river side of Bhurkunda OP. Sources claim the couple possibly died of electrocution.
Ajit Kumar Singh and his wife Anita Devi lived alone in the said quarter. On Sunday morning, their bodies were found in the courtyard. They used to dry clothes over a wire in the courtyard, which seemed to have fallen on the dead body. It is being speculated that the wire was connected to electric source, due to which the couple was electrocuted.
Singh was a mechanical fitter in CCL Piparwar Colliery. He has a son and daughter working out of town. On Sunday, his son called his parents several times. When no one answered the phone, he called a neighbor to enquire about his parents.
Upon reaching the Singh’s quarters, the couple’s body was discovered. As the information about the incident spread, a crowd of people gathered around the house. The police soon reached the spot and started an investigation in the matter.
