Ramgarh, Aug 12: A rally was taken out and a human chain was formed by the students of DAV Barkakana under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ for celebrating the 75th year of India’s independence on Friday.
Children from class VI to class XII participated in this program that aimed to develop the spirit of nationalism among the children and the people.
First, the children appeared on the school premises and there the children under the leadership of Principal cum Regional Officer Dr Urmila Singh waved the national flag and raised patriotic slogans. After that, the principal herself led the children in front of the main gate of the school and flagged them off for the rally.
Dressed in white clothes and carrying the national flag in hand, walking on both sides of the road, the students reached the main gate of the central workshop. Children and teachers constantly kept the atmosphere resonant with slogans like Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Vande Mataram and others.
After reaching there, the children formed a human chain on both sides of the road and again returned to the school with patriotic slogans and songs.
Addressing all the children and teachers present on this occasion, the Principal said,” We are celebrating the Amrit Mahotsav of Independence with the anniversary of the 75th Independence of India and it is our sacred duty to awaken not only the children but the entire society. We are breathing under the free air and it is the sacrifice of millions of people and we will always respect them.”
