Ramgarh, Jan 25: The power system has completely collapsed in Ramgarh district leaving people upset and angered. In protest against the continuous power cuts, Dhananjay Kumar Putus, the central president of Ramgarh Bachao Sangharsh Samiti (RBSS), has raised the slogan of movement by performing silent protest.

Under the pre-announced program, Dhananjay Kumar Putus, along with the common people of Ramgarh and his supporters, reached the office of the electricity department and DVC Ramgarh.

They hanged a lantern at its gate, lit a candle and expressed protest against the continuous power cuts by the departments.

“The people of Ramgarh district are troubled by the bad power supply. Traders are not able to do their business and students are not able to study. The general public is feeling helpless but there is no one to take any initiative. In such a situation, we will not allow the people of Ramgarh to grind in the circle of politics,” said Dhananjay Kumar Putus.

“We have given time to the government till January 26 and the department. If the power cut of Ramgarh district is not reduced by January 26, we along with the general public, students and businessmen of Ramgarh will come out on the road for electricity, following the footsteps of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and Shahid Bhagat Singh. The entire responsibility for this protest will be of the government,” he added.

Local people including Pintu Malakar, Kailas Mahto, Gurpreet Singh, Surendra Ram, Sumit Verma, Vicky Baba, Ajay Ram, Amit Patel, Tinku Tiwari, Amit Gupta, Vikas Yadav, were present during the protest.
