Ramgarh, July 19: The sports teacher of Gandhi Memorial Plus 2 High School, Deepali, is said to have forced 14 children of class XII (commerce) to erase ‘Tilak’ on their forehead.

Protesting the teacher’s action, around a dozen people led by Bajrang Dal Suraksha Pramukh Deepak Mishra met the school headmaster Santosh Kumar in his office yesterday.  The headmaster inquired about the incident from Deepali, the sports teacher who was guilty of the incident.  After which he said that there was a mistake. Such a mistake will not be repeated in future he assured.

District Education Officer Kumari Neelam, in the meantime, has sought an explanation from the headmaster of the school.  “If this has happened, then it is wrong,” she added.
