Ranchi, May 28: Court of additional judicial commissioner Prakash Jha rejected the anticipatory bail plea of Dr. Rajesh Kumar, who is the director of a famous hospital for children, Rani Children’s Hospital.

The director knocked on the door of the court after an FIR was registered against him alleging that he charged Rs 5 lakh to treat a boy who had already died.

Advocate Avinash Pandey opposed the bail plea saying his client’s child was admitted to Rani Children’s Hospital, where he died in the course of treatment but despite that the hospital management made the family pay a bill of Rs 5 lakh by telling the deceased child to be under treatment.
