Ranchi, Feb 7: Ranchi Deputy Commissioner Chhavi Ranjan gave a stern warning to the Block Development Officers (BDOs) and Medical Officer in-charges (MOICs) of Bedo, Lapung, Mandar, Tamar, Kanke, Ratu and Sonahatu during the district level Covid Task Force meeting today.

“BDOs and MOICs should improve the vaccination performance as per the set target, otherwise the salary will be stopped and departmental action will be recommended,” the DC said.

During the meeting, the DC reviewed the work of Covid-19 vaccination in the district. He inquired in detail about 15 plus, 18 plus and precautionary dosage. He directed the Deputy Development Commissioner to submit the weekly report of all the Block Development Officers for the last one month.

The DC reviewed the booth-wise door-to-door survey work during the meeting. While directing all the EROs to work with the Block Development Officers, he said that they should collect booth-wise data of the door-to-door survey.

“Make the report related to this available by Wednesday so that how many people have shifted or migrated and how many have taken the vaccine elsewhere becomes clear,” the DC said.

While reviewing the deputation in District Covid Hospital (Sadar Hospital), Bundu Sub-Divisional Hospital, Resaldar CHC, the DC directed the Civil Surgeon to cancel the deputation of teachers above class 9th. Along with this, given the decline in the cases of Covid-19, he also directed to start the treatment of general patients in the fourth and fifth floors of Sadar Hospital.

During the meeting, DC Ranjan instructed the District Education Officer to report how many teachers have taken both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine in all private and government schools of the district. Along with this, he also directed to issue letters related to coming to school with both doses of teachers and support staff in all government and private schools.

All district level officers including Deputy Development Commissioner, Ranchi, Sub-Divisional Officer Sadar and Bundu, Civil Surgeon, Nodal Officers of all Cells, all BDOs, COs, MOICs and PMU members of the district were present in the meeting organized through a virtual medium.
