Hazaribag, May 24: After the murder of Ritwik company’s general manager cum project manager Sharad Kumar was finalised by dreaded gangster Aman Sahu, an attempt was made to eliminate the officer on May 7 also but the bullet got stuck in the pistol. Confirming this, Hazaribag SP Manoj Ratan Chauthe said shooter Chandan Sahu led six other shooters to kill Sharad on May 9.
Sources said a thorough investigation made the police to come through each and every piece of information related to the murder. It appeared that the recce of Sharad was done on May 4 and May 6. After getting all information, all the shooters gathered and tried to kill Sharad. But as the bullet was fired, it stuck into the pistol foiling their plan. On that day, Sharad was riding a bulletproof vehicle.
Chauthe said they had arrested two more accused of this case who were doing recce of Sharad and passing information about Sharad. Following this tip-off, the shooters killed Sharad. The arrested two are Mohammad Jahid Ansari a.k.a Taxi and Jai Mangal Mishra. Sharad was killed for not paying the hefty levy to the Aman gang as promised before. Chauthe said they are searching others involved including the wanted shooter Aman Sahu, Mayank Singh and Chandan Singh.
