New Delhi, Oct 11: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) vice-president Rajeev Shukla on Tuesday informed that former Indian cricketer and world cup winner of 1983 Roger Binny has filed a nomination for the post of board president.
Meanwhile, Jay Shah is expected to keep his position as BCCI secretary. In preparation for the elections, which are slated for October 18, the conversations took place during a BCCI internal meeting in Mumbai on Monday, according to sources.
Binny, a member of the 1983 World Cup-winning team, has previously served on the BCCI selection committee. According to reports, former pacer Roger Binny is the favourite to succeed Ganguly as BCCI president. Currently serving as the Karnataka State Cricket Association’s president is Binny, 67.
