VIJAY DEO JHA

Ranchi, May 30: Mining mafias in Sahibganj and Pakur use the name of ill-famous sex workers of their locality as the code name for the trucks carrying illegally mined sand and stone chips. The above claim was made by petitioner Shiv Shankar Sharma in the supplementary affidavit filed before Jharkhand High Court in the matter related to shell companies.

It is surprising that the trucks carrying illegal sand/stone chips keep the code name of the sex workers in the area. This practice is disgusting and shows the sad state of affairs,” the petitioner said.

He said that an organized syndicate that is politically well connected, is active in illegal mining and transportation.

Prem Prakash a key man of syndicate

Shiv Shankar Sharma is the person who filed a PIL related to some of the bureaucrats and politicians allegedly investing through shell companies, has claimed that Prem Prakash laundered money with the help of some of his close confidants who acted as conduits of the money laundering.

Shiv Shankar Sharma has named Rajeev Singh alias Mantu Singh (resident of Harmu Muktidham), his drivers Manjeet and Nishu besides Neeraj and Randeep Jha. He made this claim in the supplementary petition which he filed on Monday at the Jharkhand High Court in connection with the PIL 4290/2021.

The petitioner further claimed that Prem Prakash secured several civil works contracts in the name of these persons. He claimed that these persons are the bridge between the CM House and Kolkata-based Amit Agrawal and the money collected from various sources was kept at the residence of Prem Prakash and Rajeev Singh.

The Enforcement Directorate recently raided his premises in Ranchi, Patna, Benaras and  Sasaram in connection with the money laundering case against IAS Pooja Singhal. He claimed that Prem Prakash is closely associated with chief minister Hemant Soren and his media advisor Abhishek Prasad alias Pintu.

Prem Prakash well connected with bureaucrats

Shiv Shankar Sharma claimed that Prem Prakash has a very close relationship with IAS Vinay Choubey who helped him to secure a contract for the supply of eggs for the Mid-Day meal. Prem Prakash is also closely linked to the present DC of Ranchi Chhavi Ranjan from the day Chhavi Ranjan was DC of Chaibasa as both earned money through mining.

He alleged that Vinay Choubey in connivance with Prem Prakash, Yogendra Tiwari and Amrendra Tiwari ruined Jharkhand Beverage Corporation Limited.

Shiv Shankar Sharma claimed that Prem Prakash managed the money of bureaucrats. He pointed out that the senior SP of Ranchi gave two bodyguards Kamjeet Passi and Mukesh Kumar with Ak-47 to Prem Prakash without following any legal procedure.

Sahibganj DC, mining officer part of mining syndicate

The petitioner said that it wanted to bring the matter to the court’s notice that the current DC of Sahibganj Ramniwas Yadav and mining officer Bibhuti Kumar are part of the mining syndicate run Pankaj Mishra and they are earning money through mining. This syndicate includes Kanhaiya Khudania who owns six mines, Bengal based Subroto Pal and Sishir Pal, Om Jaiswal, Bodi Singh and others.
