Hazaribagh: BJP Mahila Morcha organized a late-night protest in Hazaribagh against derogatory remarks allegedly made from a Congress platform about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late mother. The demonstration, held with due permission, was aimed at condemning what BJP termed as Congress’s “low-level politics” and personal attacks on families.

Clash During Protest

According to reports, the situation escalated when Congress workers allegedly misbehaved with BJP women activists during the protest, which BJP called an attack on women’s dignity. Matters worsened after Congress members filed a police complaint against BJP leader Shefali Gupta and her supporters at Sadar police station.

Shefali Gupta’s Response

On learning about the incident, Shefali Gupta, founder of Om Aarohanam Sanstha and BJP leader, rushed to the police station accompanied by Hazaribagh MLA Pradeep Prasad, BJP district president Vivekanand Singh, and other party members. She demanded an impartial investigation and strict action against the culprits.

Assertion of Democratic Rights

Gupta stated firmly that the nation would not tolerate any form of insult, emphasizing that expressing dissent through democratic means is a constitutional right. BJP Mahila Morcha leaders added that their fight was not just political but also about safeguarding women’s dignity and upholding Indian values.
