Ranchi, Oct 1: The SR DAV Public school has taken the lockdown as an opportunity to enable students to learn independently under the supportive supervision of parents sitting at home. They are also trying to prepare their students in such a way that they can judge their merit honestly by appearing in the online examinations without any invigilator in the exam.

SR DAV school principal Sanjay Kumar Mishra told Lagatar24.com during an exclusive interview in the school premises that they are working in the field of empowering parents for the better supervision of the students by online counseling of the students along with their parents.

On discussing the usage of two phones at the time of examination he said that the school has pre-planned different slots for examination of different classes and moreover students, as well as the parents, are facing several issues and one of the major issues is the internet connectivity. For this, the school accepts papers after the provided time limit also.

“We have continuously focused on the quality of education rather than focusing on the marks,” he further added.

While talking about the New Education Policy 2020, he said that the school and the whole DAV group are working on that before the introduction of the policy and several seminars were also organized for the same. In the continuing series, a seminar is going to be held on October 6 on NEO-2020.

While answering a question on the gap created among the students due to the lockdown, he said that this lockdown came with an opportunity to boost up the online education system as it can be accessed by sitting at any corner of the world. Also, the online education system is time-saving.

“DAV group has taken a great initiative of taking the responsibility of the students whose parents have died due to the pandemic,” he further added.

While discussing the challenges faced by the teachers during the pandemic a senior teacher Rajshree told that they have worked day and night to prepare themselves for online education. She also said that they have developed their own exam portal for the purpose of examination.

“None of our teachers has ever complained about the new challenges and we all have tirelessly worked hard to make this online education a better learning experience for all the students,” she further added.
